Policies

At Stratford CRC, we strive for transparency, safety, and faithful stewardship in all aspects of church life. Below are the key policies that support the wellbeing of our community.

Safe Church Policy

We are committed to creating and maintaining a safe environment for all ages. Our Safe Church Policy outlines abuse-prevention practices, volunteer screening, accountability structures, and response procedures. Read more about our Safe Church Policy here.

Privacy Policy

We collect and use personal information responsibly and securely, including membership information, directories, online bulletins, and livestreaming. Read the Privacy Policy.

Benevolence Policy

Our Deacons provide compassionate, confidential support to individuals and families in times of need, following clear accountability and care guidelines. Read the Benevolence Policy.

Facility Rental & Use Policy

This policy outlines expectations for renting and using church spaces, including building care, scheduling, and responsibilities of renters. Read the Rental & Facility Use Policy.

Video & Livestreaming Policy

We livestream and broadcast our worship services to serve those who cannot attend in person. Cameras are focused on the front of the sanctuary, and attendees are not identified by name unless they are participating in the service. Please be aware that attending worship may result in appearing on camera, especially if seated near the front or involved in public worship elements.

If you prefer not to appear on the livestream, you are welcome to speak with an usher for seating assistance.

Service recordings are posted on our website for later viewing. Livestream and recording are used solely for worship and community connection, and never for promotional or commercial purposes without additional consent.

Online Communications Policy

Stratford CRC uses digital tools to support communication and community life, including:

  • The Bridge App (directory, announcements, messaging)
  • Email newsletters
  • Online bulletin distribution
  • Website updates

We communicate respectfully, securely, and only for ministry-related purposes. Members may opt out of certain communications at any time.

Inclement Weather Policy

In the event of severe weather, we prioritize the safety of our congregation. Cancellations or changes to worship services or programs will be communicated through email, social media, and website alerts.

Leaders may cancel in-person gatherings if travel conditions are unsafe.
